Wednesday, July 3, 3pm–8pm, buses leave from Streliška ulica, Poljanski nasip 2, Ljubljana

Postojna Cave is a 24,340 meter long karst cave system near Postojna in southwestern Slovenia, and has been a popular tourist site since the 19th century. It has millions of stalagmites and stalactites, a train, a concert hall, the world's only underground post office, and mysterious blind amphibians that can live for over a hundred years.
It is located about 50 kilometers from Ljubljana. The price below includes transportation to and from the cave, the entrance fee, and a guide.
The temperature in the cave is around 10 degrees Celsius (50 degrees Fahrenheit), so bring warm clothes!
Cost: €40 (€30 for students)

Excursion #2: Alternative tour of Ljubljana

Wednesday, July 3, 3pm–6pm, starts at conference venue, Poljanski nasip 2, Ljubljana

Fed up with 19th century poets, museums, Roman ruins, and natural wonders? With this alternative tour, you can discover what is happening in Ljubljana now, and how the city has been shaped by its recent past.
We will explore the city's socialist architecture, graffiti, street art, alternative culture, and visit the famous Rog Factory and Metelkova. We will study the unusual relationship between the communist past and the capitalist present, analyzing the influence of Tito, socialist Yugoslavia, and workers’ self-management on life in independent Slovenia.
The tour will last approximately 3 hours.
Cost: €10 (free for students)
